SERO was founded 1980
Purpose and task
SERO shall promote the development of the renewable energy sector and energy efficiency, in order to contribute to sustainable development, by being a cooperation and membership organization for legal actors and private individuals as well as acting as a national organization for regional and local energy associations.
The association’s tasks are that within the sector:
- promote and develop collaborations,
- contribute to members’ skills development and networking,
- carry out requested service activities,
- work for promoting regulatory systems,
- spread knowledge,
- create opinion,
- cooperate with authorities, institutions and other relevant organizations nationally and internationally,
- stimulate increased self-sufficiency,
- work for equality and equal conditions.
The association is a party-political, non-governmental (NGO) and religiously unbound energy and environmental organization, and shall work and operate as a public benefit and non-profit association.
